Chapelizod Fit4Life

The Fit 4 Life programme, initiated by Athletics Ireland commenced training in Donore Harriers in April 2009.

Training, excluding the winter months, is conducted in the scenic surroundings of the Phoenix Park. There are various levels of fitness in the present membership of the programme. There are the walkers who are keen to achieve a level of fitness for various reasons. The next is the walking and jogging group. Each week they are doing less walking and more jogging. The final group are the joggers and runners, some of which have come from the walking and jogging group. Most of the members have competed in various races, at their own level of fitness, with their confidence and ability improving as the training progresses. New members, both male and female, are most welcome to join the Fit 4 Life programme. As training is ongoing throughout the year new members would not be at a disadvantage.
