Training for All Juveniles Resumes on Tues 31st August
Training for all juveniles resumes on Tuesday 31st August - 6pm for u12s, 7pm for over 13s.
Meeting for Parents 14th September at 8pm - Please Attend
A meeting for parents is being held on Monday 14th September in the clubhouse at 8pm. We need all our parents to attend as a number of important items will be discussed . The meeting will only take one hour.
Coaches Meeting Tues 7th Sep at 8pm
We are also holding a coaches meeting on Tuesday 7th at 8pm after training.
Big Thanks to Matt & Kieran Rudden
Thank you very much to Matt and Kieran Rudden for the fantastic job they have done in rebuilding the long jump and the huge amount of time they have donated voluntarily in doing a very professional job for us. Repair work was also carried out on seats beside the track.They also delivered the very heavy steeplechase barriers from Santry Stadium and which we will be looking for help in repairing.
AAI Coaching Course 7th & 8th October
Changes in the running of the juvenile section are being proposed in order to improve our delivery of coaching and administration. To this end the Level I AAI Coaching Course is being held in Donore on Fri/Sat 7th & 8th October. Any one in the club is most welcome to undertake this course, which is a very good general course. There is also one being held the following weekend in the club. We would urge anyone particularly those involved in teaching and work with young people to undertake it. We are very pleased that our juvenile coaches, many of whom are parents are signing up for it. It is a very enjoyable course, with no pressure on participants. Pat Ryan AAI Development Officer will be delivering the course which is very practical based. Anyone interested please contact juvenile section as soon as possible. The club covers the €100 fee per person.
