Donore Harriers are hosting an Open 5km Road Race in the Phoenix Park on Saturday 29th May 2010. It will be starting at 11am on the Furze Road and finishing near Chapelizod Gate (at the Triangle).

BONUS CASH PRIZE OF €100 FOR 1st MALE AND 1st FEMALE TO CROSS THE 3KM POINT (Must also complete 5K as a top 20 Male or Female finisher)

Numbers to be collected at Donore Harriers - between 6pm & 8pm on Friday 28th May; or between 8am & 10am on Race-day.
On the day entries/registration at Donore Harriers from 8am, closes at 10am sharp.

3 KM SPRINT RULES:
NOTES FOR RACE DAY:
- Registration closes at 10am sharp (on the day entries and number collection need to be done by then)
- Parking is limited in Phoenix Park so car pool or use public transport where possible
- No parking at all on Military Road or Furze Road (will be closed)
- Allow 15 minutes to walk to the start area from Donore club house
- Race starts at 11am sharp (the gun will go at this time) - go to start line at 10:50am
- Prize giving is at 12pm (spot prizes also available) and we encourage all participants to attend
- Tea, coffee & refreshments will be available back at the club after the race (2 minutes from finish area)
- The Phoenix Park is a wonderful amenity - please help to keep it litter free & use bins provided
- Wearing headphones is strictly prohibited during the race
- Bib numbers must be worn on the front of the athletes top
- Chips must be mounted in the centre of the athlete's shoe (if placed to the side risk it may not be read by timing system)
