The Story of Donore Harriers

From its foundation on South Circular Road in 1893, through spells in Dolphins Barn, Kilmainham and Islandbridge, to its present home in Chapelizod, Donore Harriers has been at the forefront of Irish athletics. It has produced a consistent stream of international athletes and thirteen Olympians. The Story of Donore Harriers highlights Donore’s continuous tradition across more than 130 years. Drawing on many unpublished photographs and a rich trove of memorabilia and primary sources, this is as much a social history as a sporting one.
